Stress is a normal part of the human experience—it's actually programmed into us; an incredible hold-over from our primal days meant to keep us safe from danger.
Taking care of your long-term mental and physical health is an important part of stress management. However, there isn’t always time to take a nap or read a novel. Thus there is several ways to reduce stress and anxiety.
Some important ways are listed below:
1)Exercise:
You already know that exercise is good for your body. But did you know it can also boost your mood, improve your sleep, and help you deal with depression, anxiety, stress, and more?

Being active has been shown to have many health benefits, both physically and mentally. It may even help you live longer.
Regular exercise helps prevent or manage many health problems and concerns, including stress, anxiety & depression.
2)Spend time with friends and family:
Spending time with family—especially face-to-face communication, as opposed to digital—significantly reduces the occurrence of depression, anxiety, and other mental illness. Being physically present with loved ones creates a strong emotional support to you up through life’s challenges.

Being part of a friend network gives you a sense of belonging and self-worth, which can help you in tough times. Maintaining a deep friendship which makes it feel safer to express your deepest fears, worries, and feelings and we can reduce our stress.
Those with strong family healthy relationships tend to seek out healthier coping mechanisms for stress—such as confiding in friends and family—instead of other unhealthy outlets. This establishes a habit of talking through problems together to relieve stress and find effective solutions.
3)Balanced diet:

A healthy diet is one way you can improve your mental health.
Eating healthy food promotes the growth of “good” bacteria, which in turn positively affects neurotransmitter production. When neurotransmitter production is in good shape, your brain receives these positive messages loud and clear, and your emotions reflect it.
Our diet can affect our brain. Some foods can help us feel better. A Mediterranean-style diet (one with lots of vegetables, seafood, fresh herbs, garlic, olive oil, cereal and grains) supplemented with fish oil can reduce the symptoms of depression.
4)Meditation:
Meditation has the power to transform a person’s negative feelings into positive feelings and offer them the chance to find true happiness.Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health.

And these benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly
through your day and may help you manage symptoms of certain medical conditions.
Meditation can also reduce the areas of anxiety, chronic pain, depression, heart disease and high blood pressure.Meditation, which is the practice of focused concentration, bringing yourself back to the moment over and over again, actually addresses stress, whether positive or negative."
